From the Original Leader:
The police are subverting the Courts by Routinely abusing the Bail system to imprison innocent people.
After a charge is made in this country (England/Britain/UK), a person is bound over on Bail before their trial. This bail contains conditions, designed to stop that person from interfering with the case. This seems fair enough, as it looks.
This system is being Abused.
The police are in charge of setting Conditions of Bail, and,
in some cases, the charge itself.
For example, the police could charge a person with being alive, with bail
conditions of not breathing.
There might then be a four month wait before the case gets throw out by a
Court.

What happened to me....
... Is happening to Others
(This is the most recent bit, quickly added after my Release:)
I was incarcerated without trial in an open prison in Fareham near Portsmouth, Hampshire (England), called Dickson House. Dickson House is a Bail Hostel, a misleading term I had never encountered before going there. I was there from 4th October to 6th December 2001AD.
The Wilts police faked all kinds of Charges against me, I openly broke my unkeepable-anyway Bail Conditions. You read of people going to prison for their beliefs, but you never think it'll happen to you, particularly relating to "I believe I'll nip down the Pub" [only part of it].
They initially said "we don't want this to go to Court [Trial] because we don't want you to get a criminal record", whereas what they actually meant was "we don't want this to go to Court because we don't have any evidence".
When the Case finally got to the Pre-Trail Review (review review review review....) stage, the police (who previously stated they do not do "deals",) did a deal with me, in that they would drop the Charges if I stopped pushing them into Court.
I was pushing them into Court partly because they had gone too far this time, but mainly to highlight their corrupt practices in a public arena. However, the police managed to wriggle out of this, in that if the Case came to Court, they realised they would only have to state the Case in hand, and could ignore the why's and wherefore's of the manner in which the Case was caused. It also emerged that they would then have the opportunity to cause much hassle to those of my friends that were connected to the Case.
In the event, I agreed to a Binding Over [Court] Session, and they forgot to drop the Charges, which were annulled by the Magistrates instead; effectively the Case was thrown out because the Charges were trivial and meaningless.
Interestingly, they leak as well. "They're afraid of me" now, apparently. (Probably because I called their bluff on the legal action.)
There was nothing signed with the "deal", which means of course further legal action [from me] may result, as well as publicity, like, in part, this site.
This Case in question, relates to allegations of Harassment,
police & CPS Ref. No. 54CD0755001.
Chippenham Magistrates Court Case No. 3309766.
It was open March-December 2001AD.
Urban75's site notes, in relation to arrests, that
"there
is no such thing as a friendly chat."
['Section at the bottom of the above link, just above
this link.
The following relates to a conversation in a police car, following my arrest for the heinous crime of walking past my friend's (the lady in question) building in the High Street on my way to the Pub.
Noticing I was slightly drunk, the police assumed I would not remember the exact conversation in detail, and dropped their guard alittle.
The police mentioned that though they had attended the lady in question's
building, they neither received any complaint from the lady in question
herself, on the phone or in person, and they did not even meet nor make any
attempt to meet her when they were in attendance.
Oops.
In cooperation with my Solicitor, the Defence (c'est moi, folks) brought this up at the next recorded police Interview along.
Oddly enough, and after a stand for my (and the lady in question's)
Rights, and a break for freedom on arrival at CDHQ (Chippenham Divisional
police Headquarters, sounds like a record shop CD-HQ/Seedy HQ) they let me go
again, then another set stopped for a chat whilst I was busy trying to get
drunk again. And they accuse me of Harassment?
I am told by both members of the legal profession and fellow inmates, that hundreds of people a day/week ["hundreds" is vague anyway] fall, or rather, are pushed, by various constabularies, into this Bail system abuse loophole, apparently on a whim by the police. And that "This [Bail abuse] is routine procedure."
This is not the police's job. The police's job is to help maintain law and order, not to behave like tinpot national-socialist's.
This site takes a dark view of police activity, not, as might naturally be assumed by some innocent parties, that antisocial criminal behaviour might be endorsed or glamorised (which is it not), but because The police are generating more crime than they solve.
During the time of the Pro/Anti-Foxhunting and countryside liveihood
protests in London, two middle-aged peaceful female protesters were in tears
on the News: They said they just wanted to visibly be in London, have a
picnic and a sing-song, but the police attacked them with batons, drawing
blood. They concluded they would never look at the police the same way again.
The police appeared to be behaving like this in order to make
the peaceful protestors look violent; an 'if they're holding them back
with batons, they must be under attack' implication.
The police have various weapons which they claim to be for purely defensive deploy: Handcuffs, for restraint; CS Gas (illegal on the battlefield but handed out to the police like sweeties), for overpowering/distracting extremely violent people; and little retractable batons (the successor to the truncheon), purely for self-defence when there is absolutely no alternative.
These characters handcuffed his hands behind his back in the cell, temporarily blinded him with CS gas (after they had handcuffed him), then beat him unconscious with batons.
And they wonder why they have such bad PR.
But we tend to unconsciously assume it is exaggerated. Perhaps partly because it doesn't happen to "us", partly because of "compassion fatigue".
Someone I know, whose identity I have not been asked to mask, I just can't remember his name, shares a car in his commute to work through Swindon. His colleague that he car-shares with has black skin, and every time, every time they drive back at night, the Wiltshire police stop them.
Anti-racist
, anti-homophobic, and anti-disability
entries will now be added to the Civil Liberties Search
Directory as a matter of priority, and balance.
Last Saturday (8th March) the whole of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire were put on high alert and the police were given powers for 28 days (Saturday 5th April) under Section 44 of the Terrorism Act 2000 to stop and search anyone - without even needing to make up an excuse to do so.
According to Liberty, this is the first time Section 44 has been used and the first lucky recipients were people at a Picnic for Peace at Fairford!
It is their job to protect businesses, not attack them.
It is difficult enough to move to a different country, learn a new language, raise Capital, set up a business, suffer racism/placism, without the attacks from the police.
Fast Food takeaways are packed on weekends and valuable to the economy. The police tackle some trouble in chipshops, but carry out frequent unncessary licensing checks on other types of takeaway. Why? Who do they think pays their operating costs?
The local police are in bandit mode again, persecuting hapless motorists
on the nearest road purpose-built for high speed.
They're fining anyone going between 79 and 85 mph.
M4protest.org are organising a day of
action.
The nearest narrow dangerous road is next to their Chippenham HQ, where the only road users speeding are the police, but no enforcement action is taken, and even warnings are never displayed.
Patronising comments along the lines of "it's okay for us to catch burglars, but not when we enforce the law," are like saying if someone clean's a lot of windows, it's okay for them to help themselves to unattended handbags.
"Someone has to do the dirty work cleaning up the roads."
And who would that be? Certainly not the police, directing traffic, recording
scenes, and taking the credit away from hard-working firefighters and
ambulance crews. A Traffic Warden could do what the police do at accident
scenes, and, infact, that would be a better use for them.
Speeding fines don't help road safety even if someone is going too fast: A fine a few weeks later won't slow somebody down now; what you need is a warning, and perhaps further action if that warning is ignored.
Concentrating on the easy detection methods rather than the effective
ones.
Leaving out the groups of crime that are on the rise from their statistics.
The deployment of speedtraps has only risen after the Government let the
police keep the money they took, but still they claim it's not the money
they're after.
The police keep saying the public are annoyed because they're caught (insert
patronising comments here), but they're annoyed the police are not doing
their job!!

Have only just found your site and it's just toooo late to explore it. I have added to favourites to return when I am awake and have more time. I am very interested as I soon hope to have my own site up and running exposing corruption and the other dubious practices that led to my becoming one of the thousands falsely convicted in this country. I intend to publicise my case where I was falsely accused of indecent assault of two teenagers. Proved beyond any doubt in Court that one's testimony was total fabrication, & main charges against other were dropped I was convicted on police made up sample charges, no details, no dates, no evidence or corroboration by witness, all added at last minute preventing any investigation although I spent a year in prison awaiting trial. My legal team were also incompetent with QC in Court having evidently only knowing the details of the one accuser and completely lost when it came to questioning the other(?). I feel that at my age I may not live for the time it will take to go to appeal, and whilst this avenue is being pursued I want the people of the town where I lived for nearly 30 years to know the facts so they can make their own decision and judgement. I will return for pointers and I hope ideas. tonylowery@onetelNOSPAM.net.uk . P.S. I've got nothing to hide, they are the corrupt ones so if they want to read my e-mails good luck to them. I hope one day we will truly be able to nail the corrupt *******s in our system and we will only be able to do this IF their straight colleagues are prepared to and have the moral guts to shop them. The best way to do this is to send the info SIMULTANEOUSLY to a number of different people in authority. Like that it is less likely for you to be victimised. Thanks Tony Posts: 1 |

I have an acquaintance who recently got stitched up by the Police, and is now in a M.A security prison in Milton Keynes. which basically is a maximum-security prison which deems very impossible for escaping. Not that he would bother anyway. Thanks to the Police and Tony Blair for allowing such a tragic waste of my fellow comrade. Posts: 1 |

Hello, sorry to contact you out of the blue like this, but we are doing a documentary on the life of the police and I was hoping you might be able to help. It's due to be part of a series currently entitled ' Life of Britain' and will be looking at various great British institutions and comparing the stereotypical image of them with the reality. We are keen to make this hour long documentary as revelatory and as accurate as we can and so are looking for people with experience and knowledge of the police to help us with putting it together, as well as people who would agree be interviewed about their experiences. I would be incredibly grateful if you could help me in any way, but particularly if anyone would agree to be interviewed. I would really appreciate it if you could give me a call so I could tell you more about the programme. Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you soon. Hi, I'm just wondering if someone could help me out. To make it a short story, I just want to hear someone's experience and reactions from visiting either a police department or court session. Thank-you, Emily P.S. if someone is going to email me back on this, please note it as "Experiences & Reactions", so I don't think it is junk mail. Thanks again. Posts: 1 |

As you say police "department", are you in the States? This is a UK site. Urban75 has a description of the custody experience with some useful tips: http://www.urban75.org/legal/rights.html (which probably won't help at all in America (or Canada for that matter), where the laws are different.) In my experience the police do an excellent job. I have several friends in the job who are decent hardworking, loyal friends and family men. Instead of slagging them off and encouraging others to do so, why don't you grow up? I seriously hope the police assist you in some way one day so you have to eat your [abuse] words. J'Dedrick - I would be interested to know what your black son is in prison for. I assume it is not a coincidence that he is inside because of the corrupt police stitching him up. I'm sure he is innocent. Are are you just jumping on the bandwagon? Posts: 1 |

I find this sort of ignorance particularly offensive: It is hypocritical to say members of an anti-crime organisation should be allowed to indulge in crime. If they're not corrupt, they don't have anything to worry about. Issues like this should be highlighted, not hidden. And that is what this campaign does. Posts: 9 |

In relation to child contact, my home has been broken into by the police, material stolen from my PC, my files provided to an opposition Solicitor who made the mistake of mentioning the contents at a child welfare hearing.
